Dr. Evermor's FOREVERTRON in North Freedom Wisconsin.

My codriver and I had a few days layover between pick up and delivery in small town Wisconsin, just a few miles from a place I have heard about for years: the Forevertron  built over decades from scrap metal by Dr. Evermor. We found room to park the truck and walked down the dirt path rabbit hole. The field of wind playing bird orchestra creatures has little benches where I sat for a long time in the sun, just listening. The Forevertron itself is tantilizing in the extreme. All the other little creatures must come to life after dark. The park is open by donation and if you are able to stop there and stay forever, by all means do. It was an honor to wear my sweatshirt from The Museum of Everyday Life in Vermont off route 16 outside of Glover, the home of Bread and Puppet, that I visited by bicycle in 2014 - another out if the way outsider art oasis in this wide and dynamic country. The Forevertron is in a rare class of parallel dimension, reserved for only a few places, Pasaquan in Buena Vista GA being another one.

  1. noice! i bicycle toured through there in 2016. i stopped and was only able to look over the fence as they were closed that day. i continued on up the road to baraboo and thoroughly enjoyed the circus history of that little town. beyond that i rode the full length of the elroy-sparta trail. the first ever rails to trails project in the US. that is a really inspiring region with so many northern european transplant inventors.

yay for you! it looks like your beginning your truck driving career. congratulations! here is a neat video i made while leaving madison on bicycle tour. be sure to read the info. take care and stay safe and sweet.

When God takes out the trash, don't go digging back through it. Trust Him.
