My ❤️is ready to be happy~ Alien Zoltar/ Nevada these days

 

4 mile round trip out and back hike along the Siera Canyon Trail in Genoa Nevada, the first settlement founded in 1851, at the southwestern end of Carrson Valley. The terrain, flora, and fauna on the eastern side of the valley is completely different. Hiking westward about 30 miles into the mountains is the California state line.

I bought a refurbished origami kayak on sale after the holidays. 

It fits under my tiny couch, in the trunk of a car.

It's nice being able to carry Zensu & Zsa Zsa like luggage in their life jackets.  

This full moon weekend I have  load that doesn't have to be in Reno until Wednesday morning. So, I rented a car & drove to Abiqui New Mexico to try out my boat in the reservoir. Elevation 6200 feet.  I highly recommend these boats. It's easy to assemble,  light weight and sturdy. 

This cliff is a rookery for ravens and swallows.

Abiqui is known as the home of the American painter Georgia O'keeffe.

Her favorite dog bred was the chow.
